Eye Conditions & Specialties

Dedicated medical and surgical solutions tailored to preserve and restore your vision.

Surgical

Cataracts

A clouding of the natural lens inside the eye leading to a progressive decrease in vision. Often developing slowly, it can affect one or both eyes.

  • Faded colors & blurry vision
  • Halos around lights at night
  • Sensitivity to bright lights
Medical

Glaucoma

A group of eye diseases resulting in damage to the optic nerve and eventual vision loss. Driven heavily by increased fluid pressure in the eye, it is divided into two primary types:

  • Open-Angle Glaucoma
  • Closed-Angle (Angle Closure)
Management

Macular Degeneration

Caused by the chronic deterioration of the central portion of the retina (the inner back layer of the eye that records images and sends them via the optic nerve to the brain).

  • Loss of sharp central vision
  • Impacts reading & face recognition
Medical

Diabetic Retinopathy

Also recognized broadly as diabetic eye disease, this progressive condition occurs when systemic blood sugar levels cause damage to the delicate blood vessels in the retina, potentially leading to blindness if left unmanaged.

Urgent

Retinal Detachment

A critical disorder where the retina peels away from its underlying layer of supportive tissue. This requires rapid medical evaluation to preserve sight.

Pediatric & Adult

Esotropia (Crossed Eyes)

A distinct form of strabismus in which one or both eyes turn inward continuously or intermittently, giving a mismatched or crossed appearance.

Note for Patients: Experiencing a sudden onset of flashes, floating spots, or a dark shadow over your vision? These can be signs of a retinal emergency. Please contact our main line at 228-385-2020 immediately for guidance.
