R. Nix, M.D.
Ralph
R. Nix, M.D. is a Board Certified Medical Retinal Specialist. He
joined Tri-County Eye Clinic in August of 1996. Since he specializes
in the retina, he adds a whole new dimension to the services of
the staff of Tri-County Eye Clinic.
Dr.Nix
sees patients only by referral and does not perform routine office
visits. Ralph
R. Nix, M.D. attended LSU Medical School and completed his
internship and his Resident training at Charity Hospital in New Orleans
and
he completed his Retina Fellowship training under Ed Okun,
M.D. at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. He is a member
of
the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the New Orleans Academy
of Ophthalmology, the New Orleans Parish Medical Society,
the Lousiiana State Medical Society and the Louisiana-Mississippi
Ophthalmology
and Otolaryngology Society. Dr. Nix serves currently as an
Assistant Clinical professor for the Department of Ophthalmology
at Tulane
University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He is also
a Clinical Professor for the Department of Ophthalmology at LSU School
of
Medicine in New Orleans, La. He is a Board Member for the
New Orleans Lighthouse for the Blind and serves on the Media Relations
Committee
for the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
